With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Settles of Beaufort, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2021. He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Lee Settles. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Settles; his children, Kristin D. Settles of Columbia, SC, Yolanda Simmons-Middleton of St. Helena Island, SC and Jerrod Settles of Rock Hill, SC.; his siblings, Lillie S. Jumpp (Tony) of Aiken, SC and Calvin (Deacon Betty) of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Kenneth, Justin, Nala, Alanya and Lamont; and his parents-in-law, Lillie Roacher, Rev. Clarence, Irene Hilton and Dea. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
