It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Ann Johnson of Batesburg, South Carolina, born in Monmouth, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ravenscraft and Erma McGraw Ravenscraft; her spouse Thomas E. Johnson; and her sister Frankie Hill. She is survived by: her children, John Johnson (Steph), Bruce Johnson and Melissa Atkins; her grandchildren, Brandon, Alisa, Jamie, Katlyn, Mason and Miles; and her siblings, Harold Ravenscraft, Phyllis Ishmael and Kathy Sorensen. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Ruth has asked that everyone wear colorful clothing to the services as this is a celebration!In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 235 Pine Grove Rd, Leesville, SC, 29070 or the Biggsville Fire Department, 400 Water St, Biggsville, IL 61418.
