With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Derrick McCarty (Batesburg, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas H. Derrick and Polly Harmon Derrick. She is survived by: her husband James "Jimmy" F. McCarty, Jr.; her children, Trinity (Cindy), Brandy, Andy and Cindy (Jason); and her siblings, Cecil, James E. Derrick and Patricia Hamilton (Chuck). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home Batesburg-Leesville Chapel (256 Main St, Leesville, SC 29070). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Ridge Crest Memorial Park (329 Summerland Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006).
