He is survived by: his children, Sherry Ann Trotter Waters of Aiken, Richard A. Trotter of Lexington, Ronald D. Trotter (Joyce) of Lexington and David L. Trotter (Emily) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Bryan Trotter, Kyle Trotter (Gracie), Kayla Arave (Cody), Chet Trotter (Latisha), Elizabeth Trotter and Jessika Johnson; his great grandchildren, Mia Trotter, Liam Arave, Madison Arave, Talulah Arave, Walter Trotter, Lilly Mae Trotter and Henry Williams Trotter; and his siblings, Yvonne Benton, Marie Wilson and William Trotter.
