He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Derrick and Ernestine Weed Derrick; and his siblings, Leroy, Vivian Reedy and Hazel Hilborn.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Gantt Derrick; his children, Dale Williams (Jeff) and Doug Derrick (Jane); his grandchildren, Jessica Strickland, Crystal Edwards, Laura and Berkley Derrick; and his brothers, Lavone Derrick (Frances) and Stanley Derrick (Susan). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
