He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee "Shorty" and Irma Matthews Umbarger; and his brother Ricky Umbarger. He is survived by: his wife Paula Rish Umbarger; his stepchildren, Juanita Rish, Wendy Gantt and Robert Sasser; his siblings, Johnny (Hilda), George (Miriam), Dean (Carolyn) of Leesville, Mike Umbarger (Pat) of Gilbert, Dawn Shealy (Everette), Mary Gantt (John) of Leesville and Debra Gentry (Oscar) of Ward; his sister-in-law Pauline Umbarger of Leesville; and his friends, Bill Lynch, Myles Howell and Mike Rucher. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and great great nieces.
