Hoyt Mitchell Padgett Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2024, at the age of 75, Hoyt Mitchell Padgett of Batesburg, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hoyt Mitchell Padgett to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Harmon and Rosa Leila Matthews Padgett; his grandson Wilson Padgett; and his siblings, Sandra Cochran, Roy Padgett and C. H. Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah G. Padgett; his daughters, Joy Burge and Kara Prouse (Jason); his grandchildren, Jensis Prouse, Melodee Prouse, Izzy Prouse and Hoyt "Charlie" Burge; and his siblings, Joyce Easler, Dock Padgett, Jerry Padgett and Rufus Padgett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Milton Shealy Funeral Home (115 N Pine St, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Celebration Church (1765 Batesburg Hwy, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Celebration Church's Child Youth Department, 6551 Batesburg Highway, Batesburg, SC 29006.
