He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Carrol and Alice Keisler Boatwright; and his brothers, Carrol and David Boatwright. He is survived by: his wife Martha Boatwright of Batesburg; his daughters, Lisa Wheeler (Damone) of Leesville and Ronda Carmean (D. J.) of Batesburg; his grandchildren, Tristan, Zoe, Ali Wheeler, Matthew, Layton and Hudson Carmean; his great grandchild Blakely Wheeler; his siblings, Larry Boatwright (Ruthel), Jerry Boatwright, Cynthia Boozer (Wayne), Deborah Ward (Duane), Judy Koon (Carl) and Ann Cotham; and his close friend Bruce Chapman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 513 West Church Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.
