He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Marie Cain and Gerry Louis Spragg; his son Charles Jason Spragg; and his sisters, Patricia Scherer, Rosemary Spragg, Jacqueline Thanner, Jessica Eastridge and Alexa O'Neil.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Spragg; his daughter Angela Swearingen (Reed) of Columbia, SC; his sister Milicent Nuebel of St. Petersburg, FL; and his brother-in-law Stephen Marchino (Betsy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
