He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Marie Cain and Gerry Louis Spragg; his son Charles Jason Spragg; and his sisters, Patricia Scherer, Rosemary Spragg, Jacqueline Thanner, Jessica Eastridge and Alexa O'Neil.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Spragg; his daughter Angela Swearingen (Reed) of Columbia, SC; his sister Milicent Nuebel of St. Petersburg, FL; and his brother-in-law Stephen Marchino (Betsy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (2350 Augusta Hwy, Lexington, SC 29072). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at 1056 Scooter Bridge Rd, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006.
