He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McMillan and Lona Burton Bledsoe; his wife Ruth Adlyne "Sam" Bledsoe; and his brothers, L. M. and Harold Bledsoe.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Dickert of Lexington; his granddaughter Jessi Dickert of Columbia; and his siblings, Joesph "Joe" Bledsoe (Gale) and Emilie B. Reames. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
