She was predeceased by: her parent Charles L. Matthews; her husband Tyrone McCarty; and her siblings, Helen Love, Maybelle Lambries and Charles Matthews.
She is survived by: her parent Leona P. Matthews; her sons, Mike McCarty (Beth) of Elko, SC, Pat McCarty (Susan) of Shelby, NC and Bert McCarty (Gina) of Seneca, SC; her grandchildren, Brett McCarty (Dana) of Durham, NC, Betsy Hair (Kin) of Springfield, SC, Sara Emily McCarty of Madison, WI, Max McCarty of Seneca, SC, Ryan Stout (Dorothy) of McArthur and Will McCarty (Paige) of Crestview, FL; and her great grandchildren, Micah McCarty, Lila McCarty of Durham, NC, Dylan Crisp and Keigan Mathews of McArthur.
