She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Kneece and Clara Poole Kneece; her husband James "Jim" Brown; and her son James Brown. She is survived by: her children, Terry Brown (Lisa) of Batesburg and Lutisusha "Tish" Singletary of Scranton; her daughter-in-law Gail Brown of Batesburg; her brother J. I. Hall, Jr.; her grandchildren, Andy Rodgers (Susan), Jamie Brown (Kelly), Jennifer Watkins (Jamey), Leigh Holmes (Joseph) and Erin McCormick (Mike); her nephew Michael; and her niece Michelle McGee. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Ebal Baptist Church c/o Hostess Committee, 5 Lion Loop, Batesburg, SC 29006 or MSA Hospice, 186 Fabian Drive, Aiken, SC 29803.
