He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lewis and Emmie Boatwright Jones; and his sister Mildred "Mickie" Casey. He is survived by: his sister Susan Snipes (Terry) of Swansea; his nieces and nephews, Cyndi Storey of Batesburg, Jennifer Lecompte (Eric) of Jasper, TN, Keith Bachelder (Amanda) of Swansea and Robbie Bachelder (Erin) of West Columbia; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kendra, Kelsie Storey, Kameron Green, Derick, Cody Lecompte, Harrison and Brynlee Bachelder; and his pets, Roscoe and Angel.
