With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Boyd Benton of Batesburg, South Carolina, born in West Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Carl Benton and Sallie T. Benton; and his siblings, Raymond, Thaddeus, Frank, Clyde, Doyd, Carlene Breitenbach, Annie Mae Metts, Eula Ring and Blondell Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Yvonne T. Benton; his daughter Cathy B. Wayne (Scott) of Lexington; his grandson Brandon S. Wayne of Lexington; and his sister Shirley Ann Brown of Belmont, N. C..
