He is survived by: his daughter Jada Leaphart; his grandson Jakari Leaphart of Batesburg-Leesville; his siblings, Laura Retha Leaphart of Batesburg-Leesville, Diane Leaphart of Batesburg-Leesville, Sylvia Nelson (Willie) of Batesburg-Leesville, Brenda Tolen (Ronald) of Evans, Georgia, Alphonzo Leaphart (Rosa) of Batesburg-Leesville and Alphonso Whitt (Evon) of Columbia; his mother-in-law Helen Sumpter of Batesburg-Leesville; his sisters-in-law, Eartha Etheredge of Batesburg-Leesville and Cynthia Etheredge of Batesburg-Leesville; his aunts, Julia Merritt, Celeste Merritt (Jimmy), Lou Ella Gantt and Martha Smith; and his close friend Judy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
