He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jackson, Sr. and Ella Mae Jackson; his son Richard; and his brothers, James Jackson, Jr., Johnny Jackson and Cleveland Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Ella Priscilla Jackson, Genie Clark of West Columbia, Rose Marie Jackson of Virginia, Sonny Clark, Jr. of West Columbia and J. T. Quarles of South Carolina; his sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Batesburg-Leesville, Peggy Jackson of Batesburg-Leesville and Barbara Simpkins of Aiken; his daughters-in-law, Thelma Clark of West Columbia and Lakin Quarles of South Carolina; his sister-in-law Frances Jackson; and his godson Raregous Tyon Harris of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
