It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ola Perry of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, born in Leesville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 12, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Abney and Hattie Gibson-Abney; her siblings, Ella Mae Abney and James Clarence Anderson; her daughter Janice Christine Clark; and her spouse Sidney Perry, Jr..

She is survived by: her sister Lucile Abney-Davis; her children, Charlie Leo Abney (Jackie), Carolyn Horne (Tony), Mildred Newell (Michael), Slinto Perry (Mia) and Vivian Perry; her niece Willie Lou Davis-Brown; her grandchildren, Leon, Heather, Rocky, Sherrie, Veronica, Bridgett, Terrence, Anthony, Sherita, Sa'Nia, Ayden and Malik; her sisters, Celia Mae Davenport and Irene Caldwell; her cousins, Mertha Davis and Evelyn Davenport; and her close friend Lucille Willis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
