It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Cockrell (Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina), born in Ridge Spring, South Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Webster and Myrtice Turner Padgett. She is survived by: her husband Venson Heyward Cockrell; her children, Daniel Cockrell (Diane) and Kathy Kneece (John); and her grandchildren, Shelley Barry, Lacey Clowdis (Kevin), Jena Fisher (David), Eric Kneece (Amanda) and Katelan Kranz (Logan). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren with another soon-to-be great grandchild.
