It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Robinson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawson Samuel and Annie Lee Rikard Samuel. She is survived by: her husband Leroy Robinson; her siblings, Kathy Brooks of Columbia, Henrietta Samuel of Newberry, Phyllis Ann Ruff of Newberry, Lawson Samuel, Jr. of Newberry, Rodney Wise of Newberry and Kenneth Samuel (Jannie) of Prosperity; her stepchildren, Mary Dozier of Batesburg, Sherman Robinson of Batesburg, Brian Robinson of Batesburg, Patshie Small (Herbert) of Lexington, Darryle Robinson of Wake Forest and Mark; her godchildren, Katherine Etheridge, Jennifer Davis, Jessica Franklin-Lewis, Veronica Williams, Isaac Brooks and Frank; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Samuel of Augusta, Georgia, Katherine Anne Samuel of Prosperity and Brenda Scott of Batesburg-Leesville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
