He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldredge Bowers and Argyra Wilson Koon; his brother Ronnie Koon; his nephew Walt Bouknight; and his nephew-in-law David Lowrance.
He is survived by: his siblings, Frances K. Bouknight (David) of Batesburg-Leesville and Randall Koon (Lisa) of Pomaria; his nieces, Pam Lowrance of Greenville and Katie Koon of Pomaria; his nephew Dave Bouknight (Lisa) of Batesburg-Leesville; his great-niece Morgan Lowrance of Greenville; and his great-nephews, Will Bouknight of Batesburg-Leesville, Carter Bouknight of Batesburg-Leesville and Charlie Lowrance of Greenville.
Mr. Koon requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials might be directed to the Jerry W. Koon Trust Fund at Batesburg-Leesville High School, 600 Summerland Avenue, Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. 29006.
