It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gillespie (Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina), born in Fort Benning, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Derallin "Dee" Campbell Gillespie and James "Jim" Marshall Gillespie; his wife Laurel Cooper Gillespie; his son James Austen Gillespie (Diane Slice Gillespie) of Prosperity; his siblings, David M. Gillespie of Columbia and Tracie Gillespie Dent (Jack) of Milton; and his friend Key West Yachting. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
