He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel Cleburn and Lillian Gertrude Bouknight Koon; his wife Betty Jo Koon; his siblings, Labon Koon, Zelma Craps and Myrle Jaco; and his brother-in-law Jim Jaco.
He is survived by: his children, Mitch Koon and Lisa McIntosh (Roy); his sister Marilyn Bedenbaugh (David); his siblings-in-law, Leo Craps and Judy Koon; and his grandchildren, Caitlyn Koon (Alli Frick), Ian McIntosh, Brad McIntosh (Jessica) and Nathanial McIntosh (Michelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
