He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Luther and Lilar Taylor Derrick; his spouse Lavonia Johnson Strickland; and his former wife Mary Yenny Derrick. He is survived by: his daughters, Retha Goff (Clint) of Batesburg, Rita Hudson (Mike) of Leesville, Rene O'Gara (Dan) of Wisconsin and Heather Mixson (Leigh) of Boling Springs; and his sisters, Sadie White of Saluda and Geraldine Price of Gilbert. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
