With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgie Sanders Ray (Barnwell, South Carolina), who passed away on January 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Toby Joe (TJ) and Ethel Mae Sanders; her husband James B. Ray; her daughter Virginia Ann Williamson; and her brothers, Mcgee Sanders Sr. and Billy Gross Sanders.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Stephanie Gunnells of Barnwell; and her great grandchildren, Kimberly Gunnells, Lindsey Gunnells and Summer Gunnells of Olar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in memory of Virgie S. Ray to the Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church in Barnwell or to the Carlisle Senior Care Center on Dupont Dr. in Aiken, SC.
