Sherwood Helmick Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2021, at the age of 67, Sherwood Helmick of Barnwell, South Carolina, born in Richwood, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Helmick and Ruby Annalee Hartless Helmick; his daughter Debra May Helmick; and his siblings, Donna Sue Helmick, Thomas Helmick and Billy Helmick.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Jones of Barnwell and Sherwood Helmick, Jr. of Barnwell; his grandchildren, Debra Miller (Kyle), Sherwood "Bubba" Helmick, III, Nicholas Jones and Klaytin Helmick; and his siblings, Dixie Grieson, Rebecca Johnston, Melvin Helmick (Margaret), Jack Helmick (Nancy) and Frank Helmick (BeBe). He is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that Memorials be made to Hospice Promise Foundation, 901 Hugh Wallis Road South, Lafayette, LA 70508.
