We bid farewell to Rodney A. Peeples (Barnwell, South Carolina), born in Hampton, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 24, 2024 at the age of 84. Rodney touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Peeples and Ruth Peeples (Stanley); his wife Claudia Waites Peeples; and his siblings, Betty Ruth Rentz and Robert Miles Peeples.
He is survived by: his sister Louise Simpson of Anaheim, CA; his half-brother Richard Chandler; and also, Janie Peeples of Davidson, NC, Katie Peeples Cate of Columbia, SC, Newman Perry Cate Jr. of San Francisco, CA and Emily Cate of Travelers Rest, SC..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Barnwell First Baptist Church (161 Allen St, Barnwell, SC 29812). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Barnwell County Memory Gardens (2728 Reynolds Rd, Blackville, SC 29812).
