He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank James McCutcheon and Mary Elizabeth Springs McCutcheon; his daughters, Kathy Ann Davis and Patty Helen Davis; his brothers, Elwood McCutcheon, Dallas McCutcheon and Frank James McCutcheon, Jr.; his grandsons, Trevor Davis and Jamie McCutcheon; and his great grandchild Walker Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Dale Nona Stephens McCutcheon; his sons, Melvin L. McCutcheon, Jr. of Williston, SC, Bubba Davis (Fran) of Williston, SC and Marshall McCutcheon of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Katie Griggs, Sara Hutson (Chandler), Bridget McCutcheon, Richard Davis, Candace Davis, Brittany Davis, Brittany McCutcheon, Preston McCutcheon, Rex McLain, Samantha McLain, Danielle Poston and Dustin Avant; and his sisters, Margaret Holden of Florence, SC and Sarah Nettles (Clayton) of Florence, SC. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rosemary Baptist Church (3242 Fellowship Rd, Williston, SC 29853).
