She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elwyn Long and Mildred Vernice Still Long; and her brother Kenneth H. Long. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Larry Newsome, Sr.; her children, April Clarice Newsome of Cayce, Jennifer Fogle Gilbert of Gaston, Kelly Brailsford of Hilda, Ronald Larry Newsome, Jr. of Barnwell and Keith Loren Newsome; her grandchildren, John Thor Newsome, Gabrielle Gilbert, Robin Gilbert and Emily Burke; and her great grandchild Arealynn Levy Ward. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
