He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny F. Steed Sr. and Inez Stevenson Steed; his wife Louise Still Steed; his daughter Faye Bearden; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Steed and James Sheppard.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne W. Bodiford of Barnwell and Steve C. Bodiford of Rincon, GA; his siblings, Johnny Franklin Steed Jr., Gladys Polly Sheppard, Kathleen Elease Still (Hubert Bubba) and Juanita S. Crosby; and his brother-in-law Charles Cope. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
