He was predeceased by: his son James D. Myers, Sr. (Betty Jean Mitchum Myers Rourke); and his nephews, Michael, Jonathan, Eddie, Jr. and Adam Lawrimore.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Stevens Myers; his daughter Dorie Jean Myers; his siblings, Eddie Myers (Cala) and Eletha Lawrimore (James); his niece Rebecca Myers; and his stepsisters, Cindy Eubanks (Charles), Teresa Johnson (Lucky), Cheryl Rourke and Debbie Wilder (Ray). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (1077 SC-39, Williston, SC 29853). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
