Babb of Barnwell, South Carolina, born in Greenwood, South Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Floyd Babb and Lila Belle Watts Babb; his great grandchild Olivia Ruth Towne; his granddaughter-in-law Taylor Marie Towne; and his brothers, Floyd Pinckney "Buddy" Babb and William Eugene "Billy" Babb.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Barnhart Babb; his daughter Leigh Babb Towne (Richard); his grandchildren, Richard Blake Towne and Priscilla Towne Summerford (Grant); his great grandchild Richard Mason Towne; and his sister Claire Babb Creech. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
