Darnell of Barnwell, South Carolina, born in Bamberg, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nathaniel and Annie Eliza Darnell; and his siblings, John Edward "Ed" Darnell, Hardy "Buck" Darnell, Hazel Sharpe, Helen Ayer, Annie Lou Walters and Modelle Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Jeaneece Darnell; his daughters, Cindy Darnell of Barnwell, SC, Jodi Croft (Doug) of Barnwell, SC and Jana Schroeder (Doug) of Aiken, SC; his grandchildren, Lauren Sims, Megan Peterson (Richie), Chad Croft (April), Jeremy Fail (Ellie) and Bailey Darnell; and his great grandchildren, Madison Sims, Lizzie Elkins, Ava, Lawton, Morgan Croft and Russell Peterson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Friendship Baptist Church, 5801 Friendship Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812 or to a charity of one's choice.
