Dave Nelson Hiers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dave Nelson Hiers (Barnwell, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hiers and Ruby Hiers; and his siblings, Herman, John Rowe, Rudy Hiers and Jeannie Pryor.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Hiers (Riley); his children, Jennifer Pinckney (Thomas) and Michael Hiers (Annah); and his grandchildren, Tommy and Aurielle Pinckney. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mole Funeral Home (9399 Patterson St, Barnwell, SC 29812). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel (9399 Patterson St, Barnwell, SC 29812).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mt. Arnon Baptist Church, 3358 Barnwell Hwy., Allendale, SC 29810.
