It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Cope (Barnwell, South Carolina), who passed away on March 5, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlysle Cope and Evelyn Virginia Wilson Cope. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Cope; his children, Caren Gleaton (Chesley) of Denmark and Kevin Michael Cope of Aiken; the mother of his children Elaine Birt Cope; his sister Charlotte Cope Fechter (George); his grandsons, Ches Gleaton, Cope Gleaton, Conner Gleaton and Cam Gleaton; his nieces, Shannon Cooper and Wanda Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane Wall (Carlton), George Heyward Morris, Jr. and Harry Lanier "Skeet" Birt.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Siloam United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 126, Barnwell, SC 29812.
