We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2021, at the age of 76, Rodney Bolen of Bamberg, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Simmie Bolen and Nina Lee Mitchell Bolen; and his sister Martha Nell Bolen. He is survived by: his wife Fannie Hightower Bolen; his children, Daniel "Danny" Bolen (Paulette) of Barnwell, William Steve Hightower (Robin) of Fort Mill, SC, Alexandra Bolen and Bonnie Hightower Wilgus of Charleston; his grandchildren, Daniel Bolen (Tristan), Tony Bolen (Celia), Matthew Bolen, Rebecca Bolen, John Wilgus (Brittany), Parker Wilgus, Cody Hightower, Chase Hightower and Emmy Bolen; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Madilyn, Aubrey, Cade and Remy Bolen; and his siblings, Libby Bell of Barnwell, Opal Morris (Jimmy) of Denmark and W. R. "Billy" Bolen (Betty Faye) of Blackville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
