It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Jefferson Jowers of Bamberg, South Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Anion and Muriel Virginia Hair Jowers. He is survived by: his wife Irene Bishop Jowers; his children, J. J. Jowers (Carla) and Vanne Sandifer (Brian); his grandchildren, Muriel Jowers, Hampton Jowers, Ethan Sandifer, Isaac Sandifer and Dawson Sandifer; and his sisters, Ginger Bunch (Ronald) and Lennye Miller (Randy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Braedan's Bridge, a special and personal foundation dedicated to ending Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
