She was predeceased by: her parents, Elder Oscar and Essie Mae Dowling; her siblings, Harold Dowling, Sr., Wade Dowling, Sr., Elizabeth Daniels and Mildred Johnson; and her brother-in-law Harris Holmes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Oscar Dowling, Jr. (Alice) of Alpharetta, Eartha Holmes of Bronx and Janice Ray (Freddie James Jr.) of Denmark; her sisters-in-law, Betty Dowling of Denmark and Roberta Dowling of Lancaster; and her goddaughter Carol S. Dowling.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dash's Funeral Home - Bamberg (12409 Heritage Hwy, Bamberg, SC 29003). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
