He is survived by: his children, Bobby Gene Hightower, Jr., E. Clayton Hightower, Sr., Richard B. Hightower, Sr., Gale H. Black (Jeff), Matthew C. Hightower, Sr., Jeannette W. Hightower, Bradley Gene Hightower and Edith O'Neal; and his close friend Barbara Hutto. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren.
