She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay "Evans" Brooks and Muriel "Penny" Bryant Brooks; her stepson Thomas Bell, Jr.; her brothers, Larry Brooks and Kevin Brooks; and her sister-in-law Nancy Brooks.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas A. Bell, Sr.; her sons, Kyle Carter (Samantha) and Justin Carter; her stepdaughter Sharidan R. Klinginsmith; her grandsons, Wyatt Carter, Mason Carter and Cameron Carter; her siblings, Bryant Brooks (Barbara), Cynthia Bossert (Michael) and Barbara Wilson (Jefferey); her sister-in-law Cindi Brooks; and her pets, Phoenix, Livi and Charlie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
