She was predeceased by: her parents, James David Timmons and Addie Lee Baker; her husband Rufus Jennings Thames, Jr.; and her siblings, Walter David Timmons and Mary Evelyn Timmons (Shelbey).
She is survived by: her children, Rufus Jennings Thames III (Terri) of Bristol, VA and Lisa Thames Avant (Marty) of Hemmingway, SC; her grandchildren, Jennings Thames Avant and Jenna Kay Avant; and her siblings, James David Timmons, Jr. (Faye) of Santee, SC, Tommy Timmons (Suzette) of Awendaw, SC and Judy Timmons Barnette of Awendaw, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
