He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Verkaik and Sophia Lengwin Verkaik; and his siblings, Sophia Flood, Peter and Frank.

He is survived by: his wife Willy Verkaik; his children, James (Teri), Tim (Aileen), Lisa Paolino (Joseph) and Nancy Saucier (Jim); and his brother Bill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, along with great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

If desired, donations can be made in the name of Gerard Verkaik.
