It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earle Howard Whitton of Awendaw, South Carolina, born in Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Naomi Jo Howard Whitton and Edward Lawson Whitton; his wife Mary Jo McConnell Whitton; his sister Jane Whitton Nole (Frank) of Auburn City, California; his children, Courtney Hall McDuffie Dailey (Brett) of Gainsville, J. Daniel Fairley (Karen) of Charlotte, NC and Matthew McConnell Fairley of Awendaw, SC; his grandchildren, Harris Fairley, Jack Fairley, Smith Fairley, Erin Dailey, Caitlin Dailey and Kyle Lovett; his nephews, Lawson Whitton, Whit MacDonald and Trae MacDonald; his brother Edward Lawson Whitton; and his daughter Jo Shannon McDuffie.
