Alston; his daughters, Renee Thompson (Sean) and Karen Alston; his mother Rosa Shaw; his siblings, Kirkland Shaw (Donna), Timothy Shaw (Cindy), Melvin Shaw (Rovenia), Virgil Shaw (Fetima), Robert Shaw, Rodney Shaw (Francina), Ronnie Shaw (Laura), Elder Terry Shaw (Minister Cynthia) and Kevin Shaw (Aidra); his aunt Dell Alston; his uncles, Marion Alston and Irvin Alston; and his siblings-in-law, Lue Vanderhorst, Chiquita Chapeman, Lucinda T. Bennett, Franke Vanderhorst and Rozier Chapeman. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
