He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chaw and Ella Broughton Shaw; his wife Lela Shaw; and his siblings, Charles Shaw, Jr., Elizabeth Johnson, Estell Davis, Thomas Shaw and Mary Shaw.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Jager (Johnathan), Bernard Parker, Shawn Shaw (Dina) and Tiffany Shaw; his grandchildren, Laron Milford, Ka'Shawn Salters, Shamaine Gentile, Zain Shaw, Adam Shaw, Quadir Parker, Bernard Parker II and Trenton Parker; his great grandchildren, Brooke Bradley, Amire Milford and Hunter Singleton; his sibling Evangelist Ernestine Reed; and his sisters-in-law, Ella Shaw and Patricia Taylor (Peter). He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives, and friends.
