She was predeceased by: her parents, Bascom Cleveland and Polly Gosnell Campbell; her husband Billy Gene Barnette; her stepson David Barnette; her siblings, Grover, Clarence, Hovey, Truman, Lyles Campbell, Octavia Campbell, Erie Justice, Rosa Mae Metcalf, Etorie Henderson, Ruth Strange, Evelyn Wright and Elzie Cox; and also Horace Mahaffey.
She is survived by: her daughter Hazel Mahaffey Jolly of Inman; and her grandchildren, Tonya Cole (Sam) of Inman, Nicole Williams (Robert) and Tabetha Drake of Spartanburg. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
