She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard L. Morris and Strawdy Cumbie Morris; her son Galen Newton (Alex); and her brothers-in-law, Edward Prosser and Freddie Dennis.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Ronald "Ronnie" Newton, Sr.; her son Samuel Ronald Newton (Annie); her grandchildren, Christian A. Newton and Isabella Christyanah Newton; and her siblings, Laurie A. Morris (Debbie), Corrie Mae "Doodle" Prosser and Linda Jane Dennis.
