With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Kirton Wheeler (Andrews, South Carolina), who passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Stephen Kirton and Hessie Lou Ethridge Kirton; her son John S. Wheeler; her siblings, Lois K. Hall of Thetis Jerome, James Kirton and Charlie Kirton; and her parents-in-law, Martin Morris, Joe Hall and Margarett Kirton.

She is survived by: her children, Lemon Ray Wheeler, Melda, Lois of Thetis, James, Charlie, Joseph T. Wheeler (Lisa), Clayton Wheeler, Janet W. Hewitt, Sabrina Wheeler and Shane Wheeler; her siblings, Melda Morris and Joseph "Boot" Kirton (Pam); and her sister-in-law Jennie Kirton. She is also survived by her extended family including a large number of nieces and nephews.
