He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lewis Hemingway and Basil Eaddy Hemingway; his brother Lorin Hemingway; and his grandsons, Rod and Andy Chandler.
He is survived by: his children, Sel Hemingway (Kathy), Melanie Chandler (Barry), Ellen Morris (Michael), Bill Hemingway and Rick Hemingway (Lindsay); and his sisters, Bert Hemingway Bunch and Patricia Hemingway Campbell. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
