She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellie P. Alford and Alice Hyman Alford; her husband Henry Lee Swails, Jr.; her siblings, Rev. John Henry Alford, Nathan Alford, Rutledge Alford, Aline Parrott, Lizzie Mae Cox and Louise Evans; and her niece Margie Miller.
She is survived by: her brother Noot; her children, Rodney Lee Swails (Tammy) and Jennifer Swails Olmstead (Kerry); her grandchildren, Amy Viksna-Saya, Rodney Lee Swails, II and Allison Beasley; her brother Etheridge Alford (Dora); her sisters-in-law, Mary Alford and Juanita Howard; and also, Leo Viksna-Saya, Cobi Swails, Ethan Olmstead and Katie Olmstead. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
