She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Boyd Creel and Ruby Lee Douglas; her husband Ray; her grandson Christopher Brown; and her siblings, Margaret Zirgess, James Alvin Creel, Cecil Creel, Don Creel, Luke Elbert Creel, Charles "Bo" Creel and Joseph "Bunk" Creel.

She is survived by: her daughter Mary S. Curtis (Frank); her grandchildren, Ruby N. Ethridge (Patrick) and Ronald D. Coffell; her great grandchild Marissa L. Ethridge; and her sisters, Peggy C. Warr (Nelson) and Clara C. Gainey (Karl). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
